Nullification of BBI report has disarranged all the plans that Uhuru was having. With the BBI, Uhuru was very sure that he would be part of 2022 politics. Infact it was rumoured that the head of state will still form part of the next government. But everything changed after high court declared the report as null and void, Mount Kenya succession politics is speeding up.
So far, two leaders from Uhuru's backyard have shown interest of leading their region when Uhuru's reign comes to an end. Gatundu south MP Moses Kuria and Justin Muturi are in the forefront to be capped the next leader after Kenyatta. Infact plans are underway to make Muturi the Mount Kenya Kingpin.
Actually this is a big blow to president Kenyatta. It means that after 2022, he will not influence any decision from his backyard. If the Appellate court will overturn the ruling delivered by high court, then president Kenyatta will still be a powerful man come 2022.
