Kipchumba Murkomen is among the happiest men to be alive after William Ruto was announced the President-elect of the just concluded general elections. He describes his journey as one that has faced many hurdles, making it long and tiresome for being in William Ruto's camp. Murkomen in a short message on his Facebook, says he is very happy beyond words for seeing that his journey has paid off and God has given him the prize he deserved. "It’s been a long, winding, tedious journey full of thorns and stones. I don’t even have words to describe the joy within me. It’s been all about God and dear Kenyans. "
Further, he appreciated the efforts of all Kenyans for their conduct during the election period and prays for God's blessing to be upon them by saying, "Asanteni Sana Wakenya. God bless you, " Murkomen was the majority leader in the senate until 2020 when the relationship between the incumbent President and President-elect was breaking apart. Murkomen lost his position in what he always described as an unprocedural manner for supporting the now President elect.
