Mount Kenya Political Vehicle Continues to Lose Direction As Muturi Is Allegedly Set to Be Dethroned

There is no other elections period in the country that has seen a devided mount Kenya than the 2022 elections where the mountain seems to be losing its traditional preparations for the big seat. With only months after the coronation of speaker Justin Muturi as the region's spokesman, the leader faces a possible dethronement from the elders. This comes after the alleged fallout between president Uhuru Kenyatta and the speaker who has already stated that he will be on the ballot in the forthcoming elections. Muturi made his ambitions for the top seat known to Kenyans and even received the Mount Kenya elders blessings to steer the politics of the region.

Despite that, Muturi seems to be speaking a different language from that of the Uhuru's led government after reporting alleged cases of intimidations from the government. Mount Kenya elders have threatened to withdraw their support to the national assembly speaker and even dethrone him under unclear circumstances.
