Tha Longest Serving President In The World Is From Africa, He Has Served For Decades

Russia`s current Vladimir Putin has served the country for 20 years as a leader. But the most controversial amendment in Russia would allow Putin to cling on to his presidency almost indefinitely. 

What many critics are calling a “constitutional coup” will enable him to stay in power at least until 2036, which would make him Russia’s longest-serving leader. Stalin currently holds the record with a 29-year term.

The Current Equatorial Guinea president Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo is the longest serving President in Africa,He has ruled the people of Equatorial Guinea for the past 41years.

He is the second president of Equatorial Guinea .He has been in power since 1979, making him the longest-serving African president. In the early years of his rule, President Obiang was known for being a brutal dictator. He oversaw a government responsible for the torture and killings of political opponents. 

Teodor is a party animal who has been a vocal advocate of Congolese music.In Vice Versa, Madillu System mentions him. In some of his songs, Koffi Olomide mentions him. “Soki nazalaki Obiang Nguema,” he says in Papa Ngwasuma (If I was Obiang Nguema).

In the 1990s, he loosened his grip on the country and allowed multiparty elections. However, he has remained in power ever since.

Obiang heads an authoritarian regime in Equatorial Guinea. He has been widely accused of corruption and abuse of power. Under his rule, Equatorial Guinea continues to have one of the worst human rights records in the world.
