Finally, Kirinyaga county governor Anne Waiguru has officially ditched the ruling Jubilee Party and joined the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) associated with deputy president William Ruto ahead of the 2022 general elections.
The move coming after weeks of speculation on Waiguru's next move having already hinted at joining Ruto's camp during a political rally and also during a high profile interview with Citizen TV few weeks ago.
And now, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) director of communication Philip Etale is reporting that governor Anne Waiguru's husband who is Constitutional lawyer Kamotho Waiganjo has finally come out to break his silence.
According to a message by the ODM top leader, Kamotho has distanced himself away from deputy president's camp indicating that he cannot join the UDA camp or support it.
"Due to ideological differences and as a matter of principle, I can't join UDA leave alone supporting Ruto. In my family of 7, only my wife Ann Waiguru supports Ruto," the lawyer says as quoted by Philip Etale.
