Today Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua skipped an important event at Kiganjo training ground in Nyeri which was attended by President Ruto with other leaders just a day after assigning his duties to Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.
According to the sources, Gachagua was busy engaging Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi where he disclosed that they discussed issues concerning drought situation and how the national government will collaborate in combating the ongoing drought.
On President Ruto's side, he attended the pass out parade of police officers who have been undergoing through a training at Kiganjo training ground which is at Nyeri Dp Gachagua's backyard.
This comes a day after President Ruto assigned Mudavadi to lead the coffee sector reforms duties that he had previously assigned Dp Gachagua following that the coffee farming is majorly conducted in Mt Kenya region.
Political experts have claimed that Dp Gachagua should have attended the pass out parade of police officers then reschedule the meeting with the Wajir Governor since the President was touring his home county.
