Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga on Saturday toured the Western Kenya region where he escalated his opposition rallies. The vocal opposition leader was accompanied by his close allies from the region who assisted him in preaching the anti-government gospel to his supporters.
While in Vihiga county, Raila Odinga's allies slammed the Vihiga county governor Wilber Otichilo for skipping Raila Odinga's crucial event.
Led by Vihiga county Senator Godfrey Osotsi, they accused Governor Wilberforce Otichilo of being bought by the government to skip Raila Odinga's events. They also accused him of abandoning Raila Odinga when he needed him the most. Osotsi also alleged that governor Otichilo was intimidated by the government which is why he skipped the event.
They urged him to rethink his move and return to the Azimio la Umoja and avoid being manipulated by the government to abandon his political party.
Meanwhile, Raila Odinga urged his supporters to remain calm for he will give them directions after the 14 days timeline has elapsed. He also told them to be ready to go to the streets and protest should President William Ruto fail to lower the cost of living.
