BREAKING; Ruto's CS Nominee Rejected by Wetangula Led Committee

NATIONAL Assembly Committee on Appointments unanimously reject nomination of Peninah Malonza as CS for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage.

Last week the country witnessed the vetting of Cabinet Secretary nominees who were proposed by president William Ruto. The one week vetting excercise was chaired by the Speaker of the National Assembly hon Moses Wetangula where they took to task the nominees to share more insights as to whether they understand their roles in the positions appointed to.

The committee then retreated to make the final ruling where they were either to reject or approve the nominees basing on how they performed during the vetting.

Today there was some disagreement among the committee members on some names with the names of Moses Kuria who was proposed to be the CS for Trade and Industrialization, Mithika Lithuri who was proposed to the Agriculture CS and Aisha Jumwa allegedely being rejected by a section of the committee members.

News however has confirmed that the National Assembly Committee on Appointments has unanimously rejected the nomination of Peninah Malonza as CS for Tourism, Wildlife and Heritage. During the vetting Malonza was somehow confused as she was not able to articulate the issues raised by the members and this was perceived that she's not qualified to hold such a high profile position.
