Kiunjuri Delivers Bad News to DP Ruto, Raila on Mt Kenya's Stance on Presidency Ahead of 2022

The Service Party (TSP) leader, Mwangi Kiunjuri has yet again warned the top politicians in the country who are looking support from Mt Kenya region.

This comes as Deputy President William Ruto who has expressed interest for the top seat has strongly indicated that he could pick a running mate from the region, signals also sent by ODM chief Raila Odinga and Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi.

The 2022 presidential contender's headache will be a delicate balance to ensure their choice of running mate will not upset the support base or cause a fall out in their inner circles.

With more than five million voters spread across Kiambu, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Nyandarua, Meru, Embu among other regions, Mount Kenya looks promising for the presidential hopefuls.

Now, the TSP leader has said that there is no single Presidential aspirant that is assured of the votes from people of Mt Kenya region.

Opening his party's office in Loitoktok in Kajiado, he has also warned all the presidential aspirants that Central Kenya won't unfold parties from the region so as to join other political parties in the country.

"Hatuwezi kuvunja vyama vyetu Mlima Kenya. Na hakuna Mgombea urais ana uhakika wa mlima kenya." the vocal politician has said.

Last month,Karua, Kiunjuri and Kuria unveiled an inter-party league to canvas the interests of the region ahead of 2022 polls.
