"I Want To Be Ruto's Running Mate" Anne Waiguru Says

Kirinyaga County governor Anne Waiguru has come out to state that she looks forward to being the running mate to Deputy President William Ruto in the coming general elections. Waiguru said that although she has everything needed to be the running mate for the United Democratic Alliance, for now she is aimed at preserving her gubernatorial seat in her county. While speaking to Spice FM on Tuesday 25, Waiguru said the person to be the running mate will be chosen by DP Ruto himself.

"What I know that the choice of who will be the running mate will be made by William Ruto. What we are expecting is where the running mate will come from. I think it will be respectful if I am chosen as the running mate," Waiguru said. "I hope that when the deputy president will be choosing the running mate he will consider choosing a woman. I however don't think that matters pertaining to choosing a running mate should be discussed by a committee," she added.

Waiguru joined UDA on October 26 from Jubilee after an advice from her supporters. Follow the page for more news updates daily.
