JUST IN: Court Reacts To The Viral Leaked Audio Of Kananu

Anne Kananu, the governor of Nairobi, has acquired court orders prohibiting her predecessor, Mike Sonko, from releasing any more videos, comments, texts, or documents accusing her of misconduct.

After the deposed governor published a series of video and audio recordings accusing her of conspiring with others to derail his political career and finally remove him from office, Kananu took legal action.

While issuing the orders, Milimani Chief Magistrate Justice H.K. Nyaga designated the matter as urgent and demanded that the parties involved be served immediately.

"By an order of temporary injunction, Respondents are hereby restrained from writing, printing, publishing, circulating, disseminating or causing to be written, printed, published, circulated, disseminated in any manner whatsoever any, audio and/or video recordings, words and statements that are defamatory and/or disparaging in any manner whatsoever to the Applicant," Justice Nyaga ordered.

The court cautioned that disobedience or non-observance of the injunction would result in the governor facing criminal charges.
