Kakamega County Gubernatorial & Senatorial Opinion Poll Results

Kakamega county has top candidates on both gubernatorial and senatorial race. The county is set to have new leadership both in governor's office and senator's seat. Governor Wickliffe Oparanya is set to hand over to new person after ten years of his leadership while senator Cleophas Malala is seeking gubernatorial seat.

From latest poll results by Mizani Africa, the gubernatorial poll results are as follows. Fernandez Baraza has 53.2% winning percentage while Cleophas Malala has 39.0% winning percentage. Cyrus Jirongo comes third with 5.4% while Michael Osunda comes fourth with 0.9%. Omukoko 0.6% while 0.4% of people remain undecided. Therefore Baraza is the most preferred candidate to win gubernatorial seat in Kakamega county.

On other hand, Boni Khalwale leads the senatorial race with 62.4% winning percentage, Brian Lishenga coming second with 17.5%. Shamala Dauclas has 15.9% winning percentage while Asiko has 3.3%. Washiko has 0.5% while 0.3% of residents remain undecided on their next governor. From results, Khalwale is the most preferred candidate to win the seat. If election were done today, Khalwale will retain back his seat he lost in the last general election.
