Raila Speaks Over Viral Allegation That He is a "Mganga", Reveals Why He Never Mentions His Religion

Raila Odinga has revealed why he never openly speaks about his religion as a Christian, unlike his political opponents who like branding him as mganga or simply a witchdoctor

Deputy President William Ruto and his battalion are leaders in calling Raila names. They branded the ODM leader as a witchdoctor and 'mtu was vitendawili' in reference to his love of riddles.

Addressing the matter, Raila has said he is a born again Christianity.

Speaking in Busia County where he attended a church service, Raila said he is a devoted Christian who has experienced so many miracles from God.

However, Raila said that he doesn't like talking about his religion in public like many other politicians, terming it as boasting.

“They keep calling me mganga. I am not a witch doctor. I’m a Christian who attends church services regularly but I do not boast about it.

"What I do not like doing is boasting about my Christianity. I pray that God may help unite our country," Raila said.
