The deputy president William Ruto today received a warm welcome at Wang'uru stadium where Maashuja Day was being celebrated. He made a clever move and shock hands with the ODM leader Raila Odinga and the president Uhuru Kenyatta. There's was alot of cheering from the crowd when the second in command was welcomed by Kirinyanga county governor Ann Waiguru. In his speech he promised to use the bottom up economy approach to fullfil the big four agenda.
Dp William Ruto is one of the strong presidential aspirants in the 2022 presidential race. Their pact with president Uhuru Kenyatta back in 2013 seemed to have strengthened his political ambitions and his name among the Mt. Kenya people. He seems to be the most favorite of the presidential aspirants and the most popular in the Mt. Kenya region among other regions. Many opinion polls have been conducted which has seen him emerge the winner in each and everyone of them. Being one of the highly populated regions in Kenya, Mt. Kenya region nay yet again determine the next president of the republic of Kenya.
The DP is likely to pick his running mate from the Mt Kenya region. Some of his potential candidates include Martha Karua, Anne Waiguru, Moses Kuria among others. He may therefore be tempted to peak the most popular who is likely to be Martha Karua and this will surely win him votes from the region. With support from other regions, the second in command is like to win the 2022 presidential elections by a land slide and get to defeat the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who has been one of the best and the strongest politicians in the Kenyan history.
