Raila:Why I Chose To Let Go Without A Fight

Many had questioned why the runner-up Raila Odinga had chosen to let go of Ruto's victory despite it being the final kick of wanting to be the president, as Kenyans now continue to maintain peace under the new administration led by the leader of the Kenya Kwanza party, William Ruto. Kenyans' inquiries and responses, however, have been widely covered by the media.

Additionally, among the reasons why Raila Odinga lost the presidency was President William Ruto's weekly campaigns in Western and the failure of Fourth President Kenyatta and Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua to get 40% of the votes in Mount Kenya.

The judges of Kenya's top court were compelled to dismiss the petitions contesting the election of William Ruto as president due in large part to a lack of evidence and document fraud.

Due to his opponent's earlier conquest of the vote-rich region, Raila Odinga's late campaigns into the Mt. Kenya region never attracted significant support.
