KDF on Saturday took to social media and confirmed how they had to swing into action for an emergency mission on Christmas Day.
According to KDF's post on social media, they had to swing into action after a fire broke out at the Hell's Gate Park.
After the fire break news reached the military, they first dispatched a helicopter bell which deployed gound men at the park.
They also sent Husky aircraft whose mission was to communicate the aerial survey of the situation of the fire.
The mission completed by the Air Force deploying Mi 171E which managed to put the fire out.
"The fire which broke out at Hell's Gate Park on Christmas day has been put out. The National Air Support Department sent a helicopter bell 407 to deploy ground teams and a Husky aircraft to provide aerial survey while the Kenya Air Force deployed the Mi 171E to put out the fire," KDF said.
Kenyans have since lauded the military for putting the fire out within hours. They have taken to social media to say the following:
