Murang'a senator and his running mate Winnie have been this morning cleared by IEBC to vie for Murang'a gubernatorial seat.Irungu Kang'ata was yesterday stopped by IEBC from vying because of his running mate Winnie.
Winnie who was a lecturer at Nairobi University is said to have failed to resign before the stated period of time by the commission leading to IEBC failure to clear them.
After IEBC failed to clear them Irungu Kang'ata promised to make a follow up about the resignation letter of Dr Winnie and finally this morning IEBC has cleared the two to proceed and campaign for their gubernatorial aspirations.
He is currently addressing his supporters at Mukuyu market in Murang'a to celebrate his first step to his victory of being the county boss come August general elections.He is accompanied by his running mate Winnie.
His supporters earlier on camped at IEBC offices to celebrate the clearance of Irungu Kang'ata and blaming the state for frustrating them.
