Mudavadi Cautioned, Told What he Must Make Ruto do Before Leaving Power

ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi has to ensure that President William Ruto's government delivers in Western Kenya, he has been advised.

This is courtesy of political risk analyst Dismas Mokua, who says that this is the only way Mudavadi can benefit from being close to Ruto.

He says that at the moment, the Prime Cabinet Secretary nominee is the biggest figure in Western, and has regional kingpin status.

But he warns that the status will go and the people will abandon him if Ruto fails to deliver, after which someone else will snatch it from him.

"Mudavadi must assist President Ruto in delivering on the Kenya Kwanza manifesto. Failure to do so will means that he will have challenges," the commentator told The Standard.

For him, Mudavadi's new position also gives him an advantage nationally. Its worth noting that he has repeatedly announced plans to vie for President.

His observation is echoed by fellow commentator Barrack Muluka, who notes that it is finally Mudavadi's time to grow.

But he has stressed on the need for Western Kenya leaders to support him if he is to achieve the goal.

“These leaders should be asking themselves about how they can consolidate the gains achieved and how to make Mudavadi grow," the former ANC Secretary General told the paper.
