Sportpesa Exposed in Tanzania

Sportpesa, a betting firm which was banned in Kenya has been revealed to be involved in presidential campaigns in Tanzania.

Revealing through a screenshot, where a Tanzanian was involved in a conversation with the betting firm, Kenyan blogger Robert Alai said how the firm is sending messages to Tanzanians to vote for President John Pombe Magufuli.

Tanzania is soon going for their 2020 elections and Magufuli is going to vie for presidency for the second term. He is set to compete with former president of Tanganyika Law Society, Tundu Antiphas Lissu. He seems to be Magufuli's worry in the coming presidential elections.

The betting firm has been exposed as it has been sending messages to Tanzanians encouraging them to vote Magufuli.

"Ewe Mtanzania Mzalendo, Jotokezee siku ya Tarehe 28 Oktoba kumpigia kura ndugu John Pombe Magufuli aendelee kuinua uchumi na maendeleo ya taifa letu'', the message confirmed.

The election day is just six days ahead.
