Governor Ole Lenku Fires County CEC After He Was Linked With UDA

Samuel Seki might be regretting announcing his political move few days ago. He was fired today by Kajiado County Governor Ole Lenku. Before his dismissal, Seki served as County Executive Committee (CEC) for Public Service, Social Services, Administration and Inspectorate Services.

In a move that was surely to bring acrimony between him and his boss, Samuel Seki announced that he would be vying for Kajiado senatorial seat in 2022. The governor who is appointing authority and firm supporter of handshake dismissed him with immediate effect after Seki announced he would be affiliated to UDA.

The rivalry between the two did not start with the recent happenings. The two were poised to face each other in 2017 general elections. Maa elders sat them down and struck a deal. Seki stepped down for Ole Lenku who is former Interior Security cabinet security. In exchange, Seki was rewarded with CEC position in Ole Lenku's administration.
