(DP Ruto in Meru on Sunday 26th, September.)
Speaking to residents at Makutano in Meru town after attending a thanksgiving service at the A.I.P.C.A, St. Lorent Angaine Church - Timau, Meru County, Deputy President William Ruto appeared to attack President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga whom he feels are trying to stop his journey to statehouse.
According to the DP, hustlers will help him 'finish' what he described as "Kiburi na Madharau ( pride and contempt" which he has gone through since President Uhuru Kenyatta entered into a handshake with Raila Odinga in 2018.
The DP also accused the duo of trying to use shortcuts to amend the constitution so as to create positions for certain unnamed tribal chiefs.
"We want to inform those who are always telling us that that we amend the constitution for them so that they can share positions (in reference to BBI which was shot down by the court of appeal in August);...we will end the pride and contempt you've shown us." said the DP.
The DP asked the government to quickly empower small businesses owners, saying those are the majority in the country.
