National government officials flanked by Embu county elected leaders have today paid a visit to the proposed stadium site to host this Year's Madaraka day fete at Njukiri showgrounds.
Ten principal secretaries from national government were present in the ground inspection tour accompanied by Embu county leaders led by Embu governor Cecily Mbarire.
Today's visit is part of multi- agency engagements the Embu county government is having with national government to ensure that president William Ruto's promise of hosting this year's Madaraka day celebrations in Embu county is actualized.
" The essence of this visit is part of the series of multi- agency engagements we are having with the national government to ensure that we actualize the promise by HE the president of hosting this important event, building a stadium and impacting the people of Embu" reported Embu Governor Cecily Mbarire on her official Facebook page.
Embu county elected leaders present in the site visit includes; Senator Mundigi, women representative Pamela Njoki, Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji and Mbeere South MP Nebart Muriuki.
" This morning, together with the state department principal secretaries and a cross- section of Embu county elected leaders; Hon. Mundigi- Senator, Hon. Pamela Njoki, Manyatta MP Gitonga Mukunji and Mbeere South MP Nebart Muriuki, we paid a visit to the proposed stadium site at Njukiri showground" posted Governor Mbarire on her official Facebook page.
Principal secretaries present included; Interior PS Raymond Omollo, Energy PS Wachira, Environment PS Ngeeno, Culture PS Ummi Bashir, Defense PS Mariru, Public Works PS Arumonyang, Broadcast PS Kisiangani, Roads PS Mbugua, ICT PS Daghar among other state officers.
