Find Out What Migori Senator Dr Ochilo Ayacko Does Away From Politics (Photos)

Dr. Ochilo George Mbogo Ayacko needs no introduction in the Kenyan political arena as he is the incumbent senator of Migori county having won the seat on an Orange Democratic Party (ODM) party ticket in 2018 following a by-election. Academic Qualification

Ochilo went to Agongo Primary School before proceeding to Homabay High School and Alliance High School for his Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education (KACE) examinations. He proceeded to the University of Nairobi in 1989 to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Law and later joined Kenya School of Law for a Postgraduate Diploma in Law. In 1998, he got the opportunity to join Marquette University in the USA for a Diploma in Democracy and Governance and after his graduation, he returned to the University of Nairobi for his Master of Law (LL.M). Later in 2011, he left for the University of Montpellier to study a Diploma in Nuclear Law, and upon graduation, he finally joined United States International University for a Doctorate in Leadership & Change Management.[Photo courtesy]

Employment History

Ayacko was admitted to the bar in 1998 as an Advocate of the Kenyan High Court. He was appointed as the Cabinet Secretary for Ministry of Energy from 2003 and later in 2004 he was moved to the Ministry of Gender, Sports, Culture, and Social Services. He quit the political arena in 2008 after becoming the lead Consultant on Legal & Legislative Matters Advisor to the Cabinet of Southern Sudan and later in 2009 he was appointed as the Chair of Implementation Committee of the Lake Basin Development Authority Board of Directors. Before going back to politics in 2017 he served as the Chief Executive Officer & Executive Chairman of the Kenya Nuclear Electricity Board of Directors.[Photo courtesy]
