Kirinyaga county governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru is a person in hot soup after what the Principal Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government PS Karanja Kibicho revealed on Friday.
According to the PS, the Kirinyaga county governor has been using goons to cause violence in Kirinyaga county in the recent times which will not be tolerated by the state.
Speaking on Friday, Kibicho says his ministry has since received an intelligence report from local administrators of how the governor is carrying her goons to her campaign meetings and using them to unleash chaos on her anti-supporters.
According to Karanja Kibicho, the relevant Government authorities have since summoned all the perpetrators of the violence and it has been established that they have been sent by the United Democratic Alliance movement Party politician.
This comes days after the Principal Secretary also noted that Anne Mumbi Waiguru had been organising goons who have been heckling Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Alliance presidential running mate Martha Karua.
“We cannot have a Kirinyaga where there is no law and order. Organize your meeting and sell your agenda, if the people like it, they will vote for you. There is no need to organize hooligans to boo leaders, and it’s Waiguru and Murango who have been doing it,” Kibicho said.
