New Twist As Gideon Moi's MP Endorses Ruto's Victory, Asks Ruto To Call Him Ahead of Swearing In

Tiaty Member of Parliament Hon William Kamket has defended United Democratic Alliance president elect, William Ruto's victory by dismissing Azimio - One Kenya coalition's decision to petition against Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) results, which they termed as null and void.

According to KANU allied legislator, he shares a community stalk (Kalenjin) with the president elect and therefore he sought to differ with Azimio - One Kenya affiliates from challenging Ruto's victory at the supreme court.

"William Ruto is my friend, being a kalenjin like me, I will not join a team of people who want to see my brother down. We may differ on other things but I must protect his success with all my body organs" said Kamket.

He cleared the air over critics that might misinterpret the decision to defend Ruto as an exchange of favour in hustler nation government. He stated that Ruto won fairly in the just concluded presidential contest. He stated that it his friendly obligation to defend and vouch for Ruto's victory despite being in different political factions.

He also added that he will work with Ruto in the government to ensure the welfare of Tiaty people are addressed in the giver years.

He asked Ruto to him for political deals ahead of his swearing in as the country's head of state.

"I'm not doing so because I want favours from his government but because he won fairly. A man who doesn't want to see your brother succeeding will also be jealous of your success when you succeed. Bwana Rais, twanga kazi ndugu. I am a phone call away, reach me whenever you need me. I am ready to work with you" added MP Kamket
