The Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi said he will seek the mandate to lead Kenya from the voters for the 2022 elections, having not been influenced by anyone"s endorsement. This is following claims that he is being rallied as the president favorable successor.
"I'm not seeking any endorsement, I'm able to lead this country and Kenyans will decide when the right time comes," he spoke out.
The leader also called upon politicians to avoid deceiving Kenyans and advised Kenyans not to fall into politicians traps
President Uhuru Kenyatta also spoke out that it should now be time for another community to lead Kenyans.
"If there's any truth from those who spoke and that you are tired of certain families and now you are saying it's time for others...then if that is your logic, I can also stand here and say...there are only two communities that have ruled Kenya since independence...may be it's time for another community to lead...isn't that so?" he said.
