Orange democratic movement party leader Raila Odinga is facing a tough decision in the coming two weeks or so when the deadline for appointment of running mate that has been set by the independent electoral and boundaries commission elapses.
So far, various politicians are in a tight race in their mission to be nominated for the lucrative position that has attracted interest from Kalonzo Musyoka, Martha Karua, Charity Ngilu, Nderitu Mureithi, Lee Kinyanjui, Hassan Joho, Peter Kenneth among others.
This evening, an official announcement from Azimio la umoja One Kenya coalition party has been made on the running mate. The selection panel that was recently appointed to oversee the process that is composed of Elizabeth Melo (secretary), Noah Wekesa among others has announced has follows.
That the interviews for prospective candidates who have expressed interest for the running mate position will take place between 4th May (Wednesday this week) and 10th of May.
The panel also announced various requirements that the candidate who wish to be appointed the running mate most possess for consideration.
That the selection committee shall forward a name to ODM party leader Raila Odinga who will then unveil the Successful candidate. See the full announcement attached above.
