If 2022 Elections Were Held Today, Who Will You Vote For Among Dp Ruto, Raila, Mudavadi And Kalonzo?

August 2022 isn't quite as far away as it appears. It is critical to plan ahead of time to maintain peace throughout the electoral process. There is now a chance for many players to work together to lessen the likelihood of violence in 2022 by implementing local peacebuilding efforts. Simultaneously, stakeholders must continue to prepare for violent outcomes by building capacity and establishing procedures to assist Kenyans in dealing with violence if it occurs. In order to take advantage of this opportunity, multiple parties must act quickly to assemble the required resources and go to work as soon as feasible.

Ruto began his political career by vying for various KANU (then Kenya's ruling party) branch party positions. He later became a Cabinet Minister in the Home Affairs (Interior) ministry. In 2005, he was elected as Secretary General of the ruling NARC coalition. William Ruto is the Deputy President of Kenya. He was appointed acting president of Kenya by President Uhuru Kenyatta in October 2014.

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and ANC boss Musalia Mudavadi's political intentions may be complicated by a strong push for ODM leader Raila Odinga to choose his running mate from Mt Kenya.

Despite Kalonzo and Musalia's assurances that they will vote, their nascent One Kenya Alliance has yet to gain traction, and joining forces with Raila is considered as a no-go.

The unity effort had been spearheaded by President Uhuru Kenyatta, but it looks to have stalled.

In light of these factors, the Sentinel Project is working on a new disinformation control project in Kenya for the 2022 election. In order to prevent and alleviate violence, we plan to undertake this project by considerably expanding Una Hakika in 15 counties across the country. We plan to significantly extend our mobile phone-based information service to engage citizens in monitoring, confirming, and combating the spread of damaging rumours and misinformation that contribute to violence. Una Hakika will also serve as a localized early warning system, assisting people in navigating potentially risky circumstances and informing effective peacebuilding initiatives.
