Kenya's fifth president, His Excellency William Ruto, appointed new Communication Authority (C.A) board chair. This is after the existing chair Mr. Gilbert Kibe resigned over personal issues. A business lady, Madam Mary Wambui, was appointed as the new Communication Authority boards chair. Mary Wambui is one of the United Democratic Alliance party officials.
Pauline Njoroge, one of the popular known female blogger, reacted after the appointment was announced. According to Pauline, she was shocked after the appointment revealing that Dennis Itumbi was a better option than the new appointee Madam Mary Wambui.
Pauline outlined some issues why she would prefer Itumbi as the new Communication Authority boards chair. According to Pauline, she cited that we are in a digital error whereby the Communication Authority is playing a great role. Having a played a great role, the person appointed should have a great understanding of the global trends and the communications trend in order to have a dynamic nation.
She added that Kenya is a communications hub with advanced technologies. She said that in this sector Kenyans should not jeopardize it as it plays a very critical role. Do you agree with Pauline?
