Ministry of Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i and Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho has revealed what they will be doing during Deputy President William Ruto, Raila Odinga campaigns going forward issuing fresh details.
According to the CS, he has informed that he has no intention of interfering with elections as alleged by some of Deputy President William Ruto allies making it clear that he is focused on ensuring that the country remains peaceful ahead and after the 2022 general elections.
The Ministry of Interior CS has said that it is his duty to provide Security to everyone saying that "Everybody is free to campaign and ours is to offer security."
We are used to this kind of propaganda, it is normal during elections. Everybody is free to campaign and ours is to offer security . What we want is peaceful elections," Ministry of Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiangi has said.
The Interior CS statements have been reiterated by PS Karanja Kibicho and who has said that they have no time for busybodies and that they won't give in to those trying to distract them from their role which is to provide security.
