The new Tanzania's President Madam Samia Suluhu has challenged women leaders across the world particularly Africa, the soft-spoken woman defied all the odds to become the first East African President, this has given women hopes, hopes that women too can rule, hopes that no positions are preserved for men only.
The task is now ahead of the African women leaders, Kenya included, they must come out vie for positions to keep proving that all can be achieved. This call has been stressed by Kenyan-American professor, Makau Mutua.
Mutua has pin pointed the NARC Kenya leader Hon. Martha Karua, he believes Karua can become greater, he has challenged her to arise and shine, he has challenged her to follow into the foot steps of President Suluhu.
"Tanzania’s Suluhu Samia has FLUNG the door wide open for Martha Karua walk through that door Martha! Walk through!"
Karua is an experienced politician who has served as a member of parliament, minister and many other positions, she is currently the leader of the Linda Katiba movement, a movement that opposes the attempts to change the constitution.
She unsuccessfully vied for the Kirinyaga gubernatorial seat, she has since declared that she will be trying her lack in the race again.
