Oburu Odinga, the elder brother to Raila Amolo Odinga in his recent interview has declared Raila's intention of vying for presidency in 2022 and his (Raila) relationship with Deputy President William Ruto.
In his interview with KTN news,Oburu Odinga was asked whether Raila is able to endorse someone else vie for the top seat or is he (Raila) going for the top seat himself?"He doesn't have to go as obvious but in my own view i think after working so hard to bring so much change in Kenya with a very clear vision of what he wants to do,it would be much better if he himself ascended for power even if it is for one term to implement some of the visions he has suffered severely in the course of struggle for changes."Obura answered.
Obura Odinga commented about Deputy president William Ruto's impeachment saying that it is something that would have been done a long time ago, but if the Jubilee government couldn't initiate it themselves then they would not help them initiate it.
Obura said that if the Jubilee government is going to initiate Deputy President Ruto's impeachment then they are ready to support them.
Lastly Oburu Odinga spoke on the issue of Raila Amolo Odinga working together with Ruto.Oburu said that Raila and Ruto are not enemies, they just support different policies."If there is need of them coming together in future, i don't see anything to stop them"Oburu concluded.
