Death has robbed the country very high profile people. Just in a single day on Monday, 15 February, the nation went in mourning after the demise of Garissa Sanator Hon. Yusuf Haji. On the same day, the entire nation was in Kisii paying tribute to the fallen hero Hon. Simeon Nyachae who was being buried the same day.
Few hours, the National assembly went in mourning after Bonchari Constituency's Member of Parliament Hon. Oroo Ohioka was reported dead. The late succumbed to the novel coronavirus.
After leaning the demise of Oroo, Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa penned down a tearful letter to the family and friends of the fallen hero.
"I'm Shocked to learn of the abrupt demise of my colleague Hon. Oroo Ohioka late last evening. Through the short stint of interaction with the late, I can say that he was a selfless, progressive and committed servant to his constituents.
"My utmost sincere commiseration to the family, friends and people of Bonchari Constituency for the loss of Hon. Oyioka. Go ye well omogambi." Didmus Barasa said
