Senior Official Names Ruto's Supporter Who'll Be Vetted To Possibly Take Over Uhuru's Position

Angwenyi, Ongwae and others when they Visited president Ruto and announced support for him.

A politician who has declared that he currently supports president William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza administration is one of the four powerful leaders being lined up to replace retired president Uhuru Kenyatta.

According to the Jubilee party deputy secretary general Joshua Kutuny, the party will be soon shopping for replacements for the former head of state who is expected to relinquish his powerful position as the Jubilee party leader in the coming days.

Kutuny says that former Kitutu Saba constituency member of the national assembly Jimmy Angwenyi is among those who are going to be vetted to take over from Kenyatta in Jubilee, the other three being former MP Naomi Shabaan (Taveta), former Kajiado county senator Peter Mositet and former Buuri MP Kinoti Gatobu.

"Uhuru Kenyatta is a big name. We will be asking the party deputies if they are ready to fill the shoes," he said.

The choice of Angwenyi may be interesting as he trooped to Ruto's Karen residence on 9th September together with James Ongwae and others. They declared support for Ruto.
