President Kenyatta has touched down in Miwani, Kisumu County for a three day tour of Nyanza and Western regions.

The outgoing fourth President of Kenya is expected to commission various development projects.

This is according to the Facebook post by State House Kenya on Monday evening.

"His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday evening landed in Miwani, Kisumu County to commence a 3-day working tour of Nyanza and Western Kenya regions during which he will launch several development projects." The statement read in part.

At Miwani, President Kenyatta inspected rehabilitation works of a viaduct on the Nakuru-Kisumu railway line supervised by the Kenya Defence Forces, and addressed Kisumu residents who turned out to receive him.

During the 3-day visit, president Kenyatta is expected to hold consultative meetings with the regions' leaders and residents together with addressing wananchi at various stopovers.

Still, the handshake has provided Kenya with a great opportunity for nation-building.
