What is happening in Nigeria? Is this a doomed nation? The most religious country in the world going through uproar and people are hiding in their own hometowns and states in the fear of the security of their lives. This beats all the odds and will bring us to stand that over the years the country Nigeria has been experiencing serious insecurity problems due to terrorists attacks;the renamed Boko Haram bandits.Boko Haram's primary objective is the establishment of an Islamic State under Shariah law in Nigeria. It's second objective is the wider imposition of Islamic rule beyond Nigeria. Boko Haram is an extremist sect in Nigeria that has caused devastating damage in Northern Nigeria and threatens the stability of Nigeria as a whole. The possible causes of insecurity in Nigeria is not necessarily bad governance but mainly it is heightened by the activities of the Boko Haram.
Yesterday the House Representatives of Nigeria came out in large numbers harbouring bitterness in their hearts and some looking gloomy and others a little happy raising one agenda that the President Muhammadu Buhari to declare the state of emergency in the country with immediate effect. The house of Representatives is the lower chamber of Nigeria's bicameral National Assembly. The Senate is the upper chamber. The house of Representatives has 360 members who are elected in single-member constituencies using the plurality (or first-past-the post system). This Representatives are based in various cities around the country. Their workings towards the country's democratic survival is based on two parameters: institutional framework and membership and composition and law Making effectiveness. It is ironical for the Representatives who carry the authority and powers to start the impeachment process against President Buhari for being unfit to carry out his responsibility in securing the territorial boarders and citizens of Nigeria. The impeachment of the President might not prevail since the legislature have no unity to initiate it due to some misconduct of the executive at any level.
The House Representatives have raised a one voice with one accord that the sitting President to declare the state of emergency in the nation due to security reasons. This means that by state of emergency the government is empowered to be able to put through policies that it would normally not be permitted to do, for the safety and protection of their citizens. A government can declare such a state during a natural disaster, civil unrest, armed conflict, medical pandemic and epidemic and moreso for insecurity reasons that is majorly affecting Nigeria now. And other biosecurity risk.
The President Muhammadu Buhari GCFR who was born in 17th Dec 1942 is a Nigerian politician who has been the President of Nigeria since 2015.
The Nigerians are advised to impeach the incompetent President Buhari who has treated their summons with contempt and heavens will not fall to support them in that matter. It is their job to do so. Failing to impeach him makes them part of the charade. It's time for them to show their integrity. Despite the fact that there is serious insecurity problems in Nigeria but we cannot deny the fact that PMB has equipped the Nigerian forces than any other President in the last 10 years. What the Nigerians need is more empirical strategy and intelligence gathering in the fight and soon the bandits will lift their heels off.
Over the years the government clamoured for the changing of the service chiefs as if it were to be a perfect solution but to no avail. The fire brigade now ready at all time in Nigeria can't fix the insecurity problems; they need more weapons and armed forces personnels. For the state of emergency will give the Boko Haram more room to spread while they,Nigerians pretend to have military presence. This has happened during the lockdown.Like, share, subscribe and follow for more updates on the breaking news all around the world.
