There are going to be two main stories that are going to take up the majority of the attention today. There have been rumors going around that the leader of the One Kenya Coalition Party, Raila Odinga, is making preparations to organize a large alternative demonstration on December 12th. These rumors have been circulating in the Star newspaper. The Star newspaper was the first to provide an account of these rumors. Even though it is a holiday in Kenya, President Ruto will continue to lead the country in the same manner that he does every other day because today is the day that Kenya commemorates the anniversary of its independence.
According to a report that will be published tomorrow by the newspaper The Star, all members of the Jubilee party who serve in either the National Assembly or the Senate skipped a meeting that was called by ODM leader Raila Odinga at the Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka Command Center in Karen. The meeting was scheduled to take place at the same location. It was decided that the meeting would take place at the same spot as before. Raila was gracious enough to show hospitality to a number of other significant leaders during the course of this summit; nevertheless, delegates from Uhuru's side were conspicuously absent from the event. According to the information that has been provided by a number of different sources, it has been alleged that these lawmakers have already begun to align themselves with the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
