Deputy President William Ruto's team has responded to a headline by Nation which said that the Kenya Kwanza government will go after President Uhuru Kenyatta if they are going to win the August 9 poll.
The Saturday publication cited the Kenya Kwanza manifesto that was launched recently to the public as an article that said DP Ruto's government will investigate President Uhuru Kenya and look into how he ran the Jubilee Government.
DP Ruto's team led by his running mate Rigathi Gachagua has reposed to the headline by saying they have no such plan.
Speaking at a rally today, Gachagua said that the government they will form will protect the president and accord him the respect he deserves so that he watches how a country is run.
Ragathi noted that President Uhuru will be given cars and security as he heads to retirement, adding there will be no one to probe him over anything.
According to Rigathi, Nation is being used by CS Fred Matiangi to spoil the Kenya Kwanza party. He said the publication has been allegedly campaigning for Azimio.
"Let Nation show us a page where President Uhuru is mentioned in the manifesto, we will give President Uhuru cars, security and everything he will need to enjoy while in his retirement, please, stop being used by Azimio," Rigathi said.
He said Nation is after diverting the attention from their good manifesto.
