Kikuyu Council of Elders Vow to Support Raila Odinga Just 10 Months to the General Election.

The Kikuyu council of elders is an association of elders in the sub sub tribes of the people living in mount Kenya region. The association overseas the community traditions and culture.

Hon Oburu Odinga, the brother to the former prime minister hon Raila Amollo Odinga, and a legislator in east African community assembly had a special meeting with the Kikuyu council of elders where several important issues were discussed.

Hon Oburu Odinga was accompanied by among others, Siaya county senator hon James Orengo, hon Otiende Amollo and hon Dennis waweru.

The Kikuyu council of elders promised and vowed to support and sell hon Raila Amollo Odinga in mount Kenya region.

According to the elders, hon Raila Amollo Odinga has promised to look at the region's interest and thus the preferred candidate for mount Kenya region.

Hon Oburu Odinga reminded them that how his father hon Jaramogi Oginga Odinga refused to take power while president Jommo Kenyatta was in prison and the origin of the slogan of "no Uhuru without Kenyatta".

He further reminded them how his brother and the former prime minister hon Raila Amollo Odinga shielded his presidential ambitions in 2017 at said "kibaki tosha".

The council of elders was accompanied by among other leaders, former Kiambu governor hon William kabogo, the deputy governor of Nyeri county hon Susan Karogo and the deputy governor of kirinyaga county Simon Ndambiri.

Speaking on behalf of the former prime minister, the Senate majority leader and the senator for Siaya hon James Orengo offered an invitation to the people of mount Kenya region to Nyanza.

He urged them to advance their business to the region for the prosperity of this nation.

Away from that I will all kenyans to embrace unit and cohesiveness as we approach the general election.
