No Teargas In Machakos, By-Election Goes On Without Drama As Politicians Stay At Bay

Fireworks was expected today in Machakos county, after a heated by election in Matungu, Kabuchai and London ward in Nakuru county.

The two main rival, the Wiper party and the UDA, are battling it out among other contestants, for the seat that was left vacant by the demise of the senator.

Machakos residents have written a new chapter in Kenyan politics, where an election can be conducted in a peaceful way, without much drama.

The officer in charge of security in the county, had warned politicians of dare consequences, if any was spotted loitering at the poling stations, if they were not representatives of the candidate.

Agnes Kavindu the wife of former senator, is fighting for the seat she came a distance third in the last general elections, where she contested using the Jubilee party ticket, but this time she is trying it out on wiper ticket.
