Constitutional Implication Over Suspension Of Kakamega And Mombasa Elections, According To Khalwale

The climax of various political contests in the country has reduced the temperature in the political arena in the country. The two major coalations have scooped quite a large number of seats across different parts of the country in preparation of a five years term.

The senator elect for Kakamega county Bone Khawale has finally spoken over the IEBC pronouncement of postponing elections in Kakamega and Mombasa counties. He has highlighted that this will be a major set back to the counties since they have to begin putting their houses inorder.

He was keen to note that these delays are going to have serious constitutional implications that are going to make it hard for the counties to move forward interms of fulfilling their constitutional duties.

He has revealed that the implications includes that Joho and Oparanya are no longer the governors. He was keen to note that MCA's should immediately be sworn in and elect their speaker who will be the governor in acting capacity.
