Immediately after the incumbent Head of State President William Ruto left the country for his maiden trip with First Lady Mama Rachel Ruto, the Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua was left in charge and has since been acting swifty on his roles by first occupying his office at the Harambee House Annex.
Gachagua also visited some of the Presidential escort team members who were injured and are slowly recuperating in hospital. Further on the day, one of the top Kenya Kwanza digital strategist has shared a photo clip revealing Gachagua's high profile meeting with members of the United Nations who are currently in Kenya.
"Deputy President Rigathi meets Stephen Jackson UN Resident Coordinator and Hanna Tetteh, UN Under-Secretary-General and Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa," the vocal blogger Cyprian Nyakundi revealed.
Earlier on, the Speaker of the National Assembly Hon. Moses Wetangula had also met then and held a high profile meeting where a number of issues where discussed.
"Had very insightful deliberations with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary- General for the Horn of Africa, Ms Hanna Tetteh.Talked about the UN’s continued support to Kenya,regional peace and security issues,and Kenya’s role in fostering stability in the region and beyond," Wetangula revealed on his Twitter page.
