Kisumu county is the third largest city after Nairobi and Mombasa, thereby it form part the most expensive county to run as a governor, since it requires any individual aspirant to have a proper budget for campaigns and stable financial resources.
The most impressive part of it ,is that it's one of the most fiercely contested region as far as county politics is concerned, as it will also be envisaged in the upcoming general exercise.
That will outrageously involve the most powerful bandwagons who will be both eyeing to clinch the seat by Orange Democratic movement (ODM) party ticket.
The prospective candidates who have expressed their interests are,Fred Outa,Jack Ranguma and Anyang Nyongo who will be fighting to defend his last term in the office.
Keenly analysing the progress of these three top candidates since they have all worked in the office, there is higher chances of Nyongo accomplishing his second term.
This is because in great comparison of the current face of Kisumu and previous outlook under the leadership of Ranguma there is a noticable margin between the two, beginning from the health sector, nurses are paid on time, there are improved health facilities in the county.
Decongestion of Kisumu county also took its course that had deliberately given space for construction of new roads and employment opportunities for citizens under Nyongo's government, this will also rate him ahead of his close opponents in the upcoming general election.
Fred Outa and Jack Ranguma will only have a strong comeback in 2027 suppose any of them back Nyongo's second term gubernatorial bid.
