Kithure Kindiki's Statement on Ruto and Raila's Good Reception in Nyanza and Central Respectively

The heroic reception of the former prime minister and Orange Democratic Movement party leader Raila Odinga in Mount Kenya region in Monday attracted attention of many Kenyans since some thought it was impossible.

On the other hand the deputy president William Ruto was also accorded a good reception in Raila's Migori county backyard on Saturday.

Taking to his social media platforms, Tharaka Nithi county senator and one of the the deputy president William Ruto's allies, professor Kithure Kindiki has noted that the good reception the two top leaders were accorded in the respective areas is a clear indication that the country is headed to the right direction in terms of democracy.

"This demonstrate the remarkable progress our country has made towards democratic maturity," Kindiki said.

He further said the reception the two top leaders received does mean that they will get good votes from the respective regions.

"Whether either will get votes from the respective areas is neither here nor there," he added.
