New Twist as Kingi’s PAA Party Suffer Huge Blow As Its Request To Exit Azimio Coalition is Rejected

Few weeks ago, Governor Kingi’s Pamoja African Alliance party (PAA) wrote a letter to the Registrar of Political Parties Anne Nderitu seeking to exit the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party.

In a notice of denunciation to the Registrar, PAA wanted to formally disengage from Azimio La Umoja One Kenya, and withdraw its signature from the coalition agreement.

The party claimed that it has been kept in the dark over the agreement it had signed with Azimio La Umoja-One Kenya Coalition.

According to reports, Kingi's PAA Party application to exit Azimio has been declined by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal citing lack of merit.

This comes days after PAA party shifted from the Azimio coalition to DP Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

Kingi outlined reasons why he opted out of the Azimio stating that the coalition’s dealings were shrouded in disturbing deep secrecy and mistrust.

PAA is seeking to consolidate its gains in the Coast region where it has been making inroads and challenging the dominance that ODM enjoyed for years.
