The cabinet Secretary in charge of the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government programs CS Fred Matiang'i has officially cleared from his powerful position.
He did this ahead of the much awaited swearing-in ceremony of His Excellency the incoming Head of State president William Ruto which will take place on Tuesday next week.
"It has been five years and a month of an exciting tour of duty and pleasurable service to our beloved country under the great leadership of His Excellency President Uhuru Kenyatta. I want to thank him for bestowing his trust in me. I am humbled by the privilege to serve in his Cabinet in four different ministries over the entirety of his tenure." Part of the statement reads.

He has been among the top Cabinet Secretaries in Kenya who had won the trust and confidence of His Excellency the Head of State president Uhuru Kenyatta before his retirement.
It is rumoured that he will be working from the United Nations but it has not yet been authenticated if the information going round is true or just rumours from different sources.
