The political temperatures are continuing to rise as the August election approach. Leaders are making up formations that will secure them a place in the next government. The presidential seat has continued to be the main focus of interest.
Political parties are expected to hold their primaries this week to determine the candidates who will make it to the general election in August.
Ruto's led UDA party, will conduct the nominations on Thursday, 14 th April. The exercise will take place across the country except in Nandi county where the exercise will be carried out next week, on 19th April.
Gatundu North member of parliament, Wanjiku Kibe, has revealed that she has received a text message from the former Kiambu governor, Ferdinand Waititu.

The lawmaker has gone ahead to expose the text where she has shared a screenshot on her social media handles. The text is requesting the MP to turn out and vote for Waititu on Thursday during the UDA nominations.
"Jambo, Nakuomba kura yako tarehe 14 April katika nomination za UDA, kuwa governor wa Kiambu Ili tuendelee na kazi nzuri tulioanza. Asante, Waititu Babayao," read the message.
The Gatundu North lawmaker has however turned down this request by Waititu. She has said that she belongs to Jubilee party and only UDA members will be allowed to vote during the primaries.
