5 Top Politicians Whose Political Careers Are Likely to End in 2022

2022 General Elections is around the corner and politicians are busy aligning themselves in preparation.

Although it's still early to certainly determine who will win or lose, it is possible to predict on the likely outcome judging from the current political trends. Below is a list of 5 top politicians whose political journeys are likely to end in 2022.

1. Raila Odinga

The ODM Party leader has announced his interest on Kenya's top seat. Judging from the current political status in the country, the leader will have a difficult time in silencing Deputy President William Ruto whose influence is inevitable.

Ruto has won in various online polls conducted by different leaders and organizations and thus Raila stands a slim chance of clinching on power. If Raila loses in 2022, then his political journey is most likely to come to an end.

2. James Nyoro

Nyoro who has declared his interest in securing the Kiambu Gubernatorial seat will be facing stiff competition from the current Thika Town MP Patrick Wainaina alias Jungle.

The MP has toured the county and initiated various empowerment programs. As of now, the MP would beat the governor hands down if the elections were held today. It has also been rumoured that the first governor of the county Hon William Kabogo might reconsider his decision and vy reclaim the position. This means that Nyoro has minimal chances of securing the seat and os more likely to go home on 2022.

3. Mwangi wa Iria

Murang'a county governor has announced that he will go for the presidential seat in 2022. Owing to the stiff competition especially from Raila and Ruto, the governor might end up losing terribly and won't have an option than to go home as he has already served for two terms as a governor. His political career is therefore at stake and might come to an abrupt end.

4. Anne Waiguru

Kirinyaga County Governor has decided to defend her position in the next General Elections. She will however face rough ride from Narc Kenya Party leader Martha Karua and the incumbent Woman Representative Purity Ngirici. According to online polls, Martha Karua has the highest chances of winning the race. Waiguru who is currently undecided on the political vehicle she will use in the Elections is therefore likely to go home.

5. Hassan Joho

Most governors serving for their second term are at the verge of disappearing from the politician arena. Joho who is serving Mombasa people for the last shift had declared his interest in ruling the country before dropping his ambitions in favor of his party leader, Mr Odinga. Joho might secure a leadership position if Raila wins but will end up in political cold in case things goes the other way round.
