Unlike previous elections that have majorly been two-horse races, Ruto and Raila may end up facing the emerging One Kenya Alliance (OKA), which plans to present a joint candidate in next year’s contest.

OKA comprises Raila’s former allies in the National Super Alliance and Kanu’s Moi. Two of the OKA principals have been running mates of the ODM leader.

Now the main contenders in next year's presidential race, William Ruto, Raila Odinga, Musalia Mudavadi among few others have launched an all-out charm offensive to find the best partner to rally reticent communities to their side.

With the 2022 presidential aspirants yet to pick their running mates, Kenyans on social media have voted for the best pairs via a poll conducted by local TV station, K24 TV.

According to the ongoing poll on social media, Raila and Kirinyaga Gov. Waiguru pair has 20.8%, Mudavadi and Kalonzo pair 6.8%, Mukhisa Kituyi and Wanjigi pair 6.9%, DP Ruto and Justin Muturi pair 65.6%.
