Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua has received a huge blow following the move made by Mt Kenya region. In a statement led by Kirinyaga Jubilee Party Chair Muriithi wa Kang'ara, Gachagua was on Wednesday, December 21, Kirinyaga warned against imposing himself on the people of central region of Kenya.

Wa Kang'ara sent a warning to the DP Rigathi Gachagua claiming that the region still answers to former President Uhuru Kenyatta. "Mt Kenya has not yet stated who will replace Uhuru as our kingpin. He is still the spokesperson and kingpin of Mount Kenya. We have also not stated that you are Mt Kenya kingpin," Wa Kang'ara announced.

The remarks has dealt the second in command deputy president Rigathi Gachagua a huge blow as his trust to the people of Mount Kenya is getting bad following what he used to do to former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
